How do you overcome your resistance to writing?

You break resistance like you break rocks — with lots of small, repeated attempts and the occasional big hit.

Don’t just whack it and hope to be done with it.

Over time, repeated small actions will prove to be more effective.

It’s the things we do every day that define us the most.

What do you do? Sound off in the comments.

I don’t know. I’m trying to start writing again, regularly. I guess:
    * Giving myself permission to write things that aren’t actually the thing I want to write (but that are easier to write)
*expecting at least 500 words (since its not that much, and I have to build up the stamina somehow)
    * writing poems since they’re much shorter, with no expectations about quality. I wrote two poems about Baldur’s Gate and Sims Medieval the other day. Just so that I had written something.

    I’m always writing, whether a blog post, a novel or a short-story. There’s rarely a day when I don’t write. ^_^
