When does health appear to  be illness?  When your body is trying to tell you something.  When your body is reacting healthily and therefore you appear ill.  Symptoms are not the illness.  Don’t deal with the symptoms; deal with the source of irritation.

When does wealth appear to be poverty?  When having nothing is an asset.  You are rich without money.  Having a little money and using it well is better than having lots of money and spending it poorly.  Money means nothing; but also spend what you have well, or don’t spend it at all.  Need as little as possible.  When you have more than you need, you are rich.  This applies to all things.

When does wisdom appear to be stupidity?  When your inability to grasp certain things is actually ‘correct’ or smarter and wiser than if you did.  When you are wise enough to know when to appear stupid.  When you refuse to deal with duality and questions from duality on their own terms. In other words – when you are a Taoist!
